Easy there, sport. Our model photos will only be available to people who buy the calendar. You can purchase a calendar here.

Wow, this calendar is amazing!

Thanks! The real credit goes to our organizers Rachel and Annie, our photographer, and above all the models themselves, without whom this calendar would not exist.

When will they be available?

They're available now for pre-order!

Who is Big Jimmy, and what's the Big Jimmy Fund?

James E. Roberts Sr., known to students and friends as "Big Jimmy," was a night watchman at the MIT dormitories Senior House and East Campus for many years. He passed away suddenly in January of 2005. He was a friend and hero to hundreds of MIT students; frankly, we loved the man.

After Big Jimmy passed away, a group of students dedicated the James E. Roberts Memorial Scholarship Fund (known to most as the "Big Jimmy Fund") to his memory. The Calendar was conceived as a way to help the Fund reach its goals.

You said this is for charity?

All proceeds from the sale of the Women of the East Side Calendar (once the cost of printing the calendar itself is recouped) will go directly to the Big Jimmy Fund. See, it's for a good cause!

There's no way these are MIT women. Everyone knows geek girls are unattractive.

You'd better not let them hear you say that. Every one of the models in the Women of the East Side calendar is a genuine MIT engineer, and we think you'll agree that they are more than merely pretty. Stunning, more like.

Part of the point of this ongoing calendar project is to demonstrate that MIT women are extremely good-looking; it's Woman's right to be both beautiful and competent at solving partial non-linear differential equations. Just be glad - you get to look at the result!

What is the "East Side", anyway?

The East Side of MIT is made up of the MIT dormitories East Campus, Senior Haus, and Random Hall, and the loosely-associated culture surrounding them. All our models are current or former denizens of the East Side.

Can I have a free calendar?

Sorry, no can do. We're selling these to make money for charity, so giving you a free calendar would be like stealing - from charity! Get someone to buy you one.

Gosh, does the Women of the East Side Calendar make a good gift?

Why, yes it does, now that you mention it!

It's cool if I copy these photos into my own project, right?

Hell no, you thieving bastard. Violate our copyright and we'll come for you.
That said, if you think you have a legitimate reason, contact us at and maybe we can work something out.

All of our models have signed releases and are over the age of 18, as required by law. If you think you have a legal beef with us, please get in touch.
Note also our disclaimer.
